One More Walk in Acadia

On our last day, we let the hours unfold—
We let things sparkle and speak to us.

The hazy sky cleared,

The breeze winked playfully.

The forest opened,
Its roots and rocks guiding our steps,

while the sea murmured somewhere

beyond the trees.

There was no hurry,
Only the quiet gift of being here,
In this place where land and ocean
Hold each other in balance.

We leave,
Acadia stays,

Holding the lessons in wind and tide;
Reminding us to follow where the world opens.

    What a beautiful poem! I love Acadia. Maybe one day I’ll get to go back there.

    Thank you for capturing these things in words!
